A visit to France’s 2nd largest city
Marseille is everything the Luberon is not. Rolling green hills and rows of vineyards are replaced with row upon row of crowded streets. The ancient trading port attracts millions of people a year with many people arriving via the train station, Gare de Marseille Saint Charles.
We only had half a day in Marseille, so unfortunately I wasn’t able to spend as much time photographing the station and travellers.
Outside the station offered some fantastic views of the city and Notre-Dame de la Garde, which dominates the Marseille skyline.
