Hola from Playa Del Carmen! Today we hit the remnants of Tropical Storm Alberto...or was it Hurricane? Regardless, made for an interesting afternoon as the rain came down in buckets. We started the day in Kantun-Chi...a wanna be eco park that hasn't quite made it. But we loved it none the less, we started with a float through a stalactite filled cenote (cave) and then wandered through the "eco-park visiting other cenotes, including this one, Zacil-Ha. Zacil-Ha was fascinating as the sun (which finally made an appearance!) streamed through breaks in the cave illuminating the crystal clear water.

After returning to Playa Del Carmen, and a fabulous lunch of cactus and beef tacos we returned to the hotel as the torrential rains began. So, what better to do then sit in the jacuzzi, where we met a lovely French couple, Nadine and Murielle...who shared a bottle of 82 Maribelle Schnapps...a plum schnapps local to the north easter region of France...and quite strong.

All and all...a wonderful day in Playa Del Carmen.
