During our road trip I made a return stop to the Alabama Hills at the foot of the Eastern Sierras. We decided not to take in the sunrise at the Galen Arch and instead wandered a bit further up Movie Road to a location I had scouted out on my last visit. It was amazing to see how the hills and mountains revealed themselves as the sun rose over the mountains behind us, a small set of clouds throwing out some unique and interesting shadows on Lone Pine Peak and Mt. Whitney.
