Well, my tour of India has pretty much come to an end, in a few hours I will be on a flight to Bangkok to spend the week in Thailand. It has been a fascinating few weeks in India. From the lovely wedding of my sister, to the...well, not sure how to describe part of Kolkata, to the majesty of Taj Mahal in Agra to the burgeoning want to be metropolis that is New Delhi.

It's been quite the experience. I've handled India much better than I did the last time I was here, there isn't the overwhelming oppression and feeling that I have to get out of here. This time I've been able to remove myself a little more, take in the India experience, and get a better sense of the dichotomy that is a country trying to leave it's past behind...without forgetting it's past. India has a interesting future ahead of it, will it continue with it's massive growth, will it be able to bring along the 700+ million who live in poverty as it extends it's reach in to the global marketplace...will be fascinating to watch.

I'm actually looking forward to my next visit to India to see how it's changed, it's already vastly different than the last time I was here. Of course...I won't be eating any Indian food anytime soon...had my fill for awhile!

This is a shot from the car while touring New Delhi (as my driver kept trying to get me to go to his stores instead of the ones I wanted to...I have a feeling he snuck one in there).

See you in Thailand.
