It's been a long 24 hours, and I'm still trying to figure out what happened to Friday...but we're on the ground in Kolkata. The flight to Bangkok was a long 17 hours, but in reality it wasn't all that bad. After years of flying domestic where they charge you $4 for a bag of chips it was odd to be on a flight where it looked like they were trying to stuff you up to be the main course at Thanksgiving dinner.

The Bangkok airport is an amazing place, a real if you build it and they will come. The one thing I found interesting is how many people they have working there. At the Duty Free Shops, and Security you have a handful of people working the counter and 20 backups sitting on the side just waiting to be called in to the line of fire. Do you think they get jealous?

Kolkata is an odd city, it's hard to determine what my thoughts are. Initially it doesn't seem as crowded or dirty as New Delhi, but I get the feeling we are on the outskirts, in a nice western hotel, so we are a little isolated. The drive over way fun. I knew what to expect so I wasn't all that concerned to see buses fly on by, just inches away from trading paint with the vehicle we were in. But, only heard two squeaks from the other folks in he car.

Tomorrow we shop for traditional garb for Meg's wedding, and head in to downtown to see the Howry Bridge and Victoria Memorial. Should be a fascinating day.

This shot is one of the many bikes/trailers/human power contraptions we passed while driving in from the airport in Kolkata.

That's about as much info as I can provide today, it's 832PM here now, which means its 812 AM back home. I'm friggen exhausted!
