It's been a rewarding "photography" weekend. After getting back from a great trip to Death Valley it was time to get back to processing photos, all the while trying to get the presents wrapped...oh and I guess working as well.

And why was it rewarding? Well, this shot was selected as the winner in a small on-line contest I forgot I had entered!

As previously mentioned, this shot of the Death Valley Sand Dunes at sunrise was selected as icon of the day for one of the larger groups on flickr....as well as being nominated for posting to one of the more prestigious photo pools within flickr.

Nice little Christmas presents.

This shot is from the Black Forest in Germany the morning after a winter's snow. It was converted to black and white from a scanned film negative.
