So today I took the dog to a local bark park (kind of a lame name). After a few days with his cousin I figured he needed the chance to run around a little bit. As we are walking around the park, Kaiser marking everything in sight, an old man with a cart walks by. Being polite I say, "Hey, how are things?"...he then proceeds to tell me. "Well, I worked 20 years in the military, I've supervised hundreds of people...and now the most important job I have is ensuring bags are around so people can pick up dog crap."
Not quite sure how you respond to that one, as he sat there staring at me accussingly. For a second I tried to think back, did I interview this guy and not hire him? No, never seen him before.
"Well, there are worse places to hang out than a park." I responded lamely after an awkward 15 or so seconds. "Well, got to run, have a nice holiday".
Awkward...
As for the photo, this is from a cathedral in the city of Cork. Cork is a fantastic city, for my money better than Dublin. You have a big city feel without all the crowds, traffic, and getting lost every two blocks because they changed the street name for no apparent reason whatsoever. This was converted to a silver duotone as an experiment, I like the feel of it. Here's the the original for comparisons sake.
Have a Happy Thanksgiving
